Course Overview
This 2-day hands-on workshop is designed to provide professional stylists and colorists with an in-depth understanding of hair color chemistry and the key techniques needed to achieve consistent, successful results.
Day 1: Theory and Fundamentals
The first day focuses on the theory behind hair coloring, with engaging dynamics and exercises. Key topics include:
- Introduction to Trichology: Understanding the science of hair, its structure, and function.
- Hair Growth Cycle: Insight into the stages of hair growth and how it affects coloring outcomes.
- Chemical Composition & Physical structure of Hair
- Hair Types: Identifying different hair types and their response to color treatments.
- pH (Hydrogen Potential) and pI (Isoelectric Point): Understanding the importance of pH and its effect on hair color.
- Types of Coloring: A look at the various types of hair color, including permanent, semi-permanent, and temporary.
- Color Composition: The fundamentals of how hair color is formulated and applied.
- Color Formation: How color develops in the hair and the chemical reactions involved.
- Scale of Melanin: Understanding the natural pigments in hair and how they influence coloring results.
- Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary Colors: An exploration of color theory and how to use these colors effectively.
- Color Wheel: Understanding the color wheel to create balanced and harmonious color results.

Day 2: Practical Application
On the second day, participants will apply their theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios. This hands-on session will focus on:
- Techniques Practice: Applying different coloring methods, including gray coverage, bleaching, and pigmentation techniques.
- Real-Time Problem Solving: Participants will troubleshoot and refine their skills under instructor supervision.
- Final Review: A wrap-up session to reinforce the skills learned, discuss challenges, and ensure mastery of colorimetry concepts.
Tools & Requirement:
For this Hair Coloring Workshop, all necessary materials and tools, including brushes, clamps, hair color, bleach, and practice hair, will be provided. Participants are advised to wear protective gloves and comfortable clothing, as the workshop will involve hands-on coloring techniques. Aprons are also recommended to prevent staining.
